Specialized Therapy for Professional Women Navigating Difficult Births and Early Motherhood
Supporting women recovering from traumatic birth, NICU experiences, and the emotional complexities of becoming a mother while holding significant responsibility in their lives and careers.
Becoming a mother is one of the most profound psychological transitions in a woman’s life.
When that transition includes a traumatic birth, unexpected medical complications, or time in the NICU, it can feel disorienting in ways that are difficult to explain.
Many of the women who come to my practice are thoughtful, capable, and accomplished in their professional lives. They are used to managing complexity and caring deeply for others.
Yet after a difficult birth or challenging start to motherhood, they often find themselves experiencing anxiety, intrusive memories, grief, or a sense that they are no longer entirely themselves.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, process what has happened, and begin to integrate these experiences with care and compassion.
“Sometimes it takes a great sky to find that first bright and indescribable wedge of freedom in your own heart.”

Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting women who are navigating the intersection of early motherhood, professional responsibility, and complex birth experiences.
My clients often include women who:
• experienced traumatic or medically complicated births.
• had babies who required NICU care
• feel overwhelmed by postpartum anxiety or intrusive thoughts
• are adjusting to motherhood while managing demanding careers
• are accustomed to being strong for others but feel unexpectedly shaken by this transition
Together, we create a space where the full experience of this season of life can be explored with depth, safety, and understanding.
I work with high-functioning women who are used to holding a great deal of responsibility and find themselves unexpectedly overwhelmed after traumatic or complicated birth experiences.
Birth Trauma
Difficult birth experiences can leave lasting emotional effects long after the medical event has ended. Therapy can help process trauma, restore a sense of safety, and support healing.
Areas of Focus
NICU & Medical Complications
When a baby requires intensive medical care, parents often move into survival mode. Therapy provides space to process the fear, uncertainty, and emotional aftermath of these experiences.
Professional Mothers
Balancing the demands of career and early motherhood can feel overwhelming—especially when layered with postpartum anxiety or unresolved trauma. Therapy helps create a sustainable path forward.
